Diving into day 2 of CinemaCon, Warner Bros. Pictures gave us a look at their upcoming lineup of future projects.  With a mix of blockbuster action, beloved IPs, chilling horror, animated magic, and fresh takes on classic tales, WB made it clear that their upcoming slate is as ambitious as it is diverse. Executives, directors, and stars took the stage to preview some of the most buzzworthy films heading to theaters through 2025 and beyond—and fans of speed, superheroes, scares, and surprises have a lot to look forward to.

Speeding into theaters June 27 is Joseph Kosinski’s F1, starring Brad Pitt. The movie follows the journey of Sonny Hayes and his comeback to racing in the F1 series. The high-speed shots capture the feel of F1. The cinematography tells the story of Sonny and these other racers who face danger in every race they participate in. The film includes real footage of actual F1 races and Brad Pitt’s driving skills. The visuals will take you on a ride.

Superman

The man of steel himself helped to kick off the Superman presentation. David Corenswet, Rachel Brosnahan, Nicholas Hoult, who shared he had auditioned for both Batman and Superman, and James Gunn were on hand to tease us with a 10-minute look at the new film. Gunn’s version of the film highlighted the Superman of old.  With both the trailer and the footage that was shown during their presentation, Superman’s dog Krypto was a fan favorite.  Gunn was inspired by the actions of a dog of his own to create the dog’s antics and quirky personality. Relatable to many of us who have pets. The visuals and relationships between the characters help bring the humanity of the story to life on the big screen.  When reflecting on filming, Nicholas Hoult shared he couldn’t help but think “this is magic” when he saw Corenswet as Superman. It was obvious that the message of love and hope that Gunn wanted the movie to represent was felt by all involved. Maybe we all need a little dose of that. Superman flies into theaters July 11.

Weapons

Weapons, an interesting piece by Zach Cregger, seems to be a “twisty turny film”. The teaser was just that, capturing our interest in finding out what was really going on in this movie. The film seems a mysterious and sometimes scary tale where a teacher’s class of students seems to randomly disappear without explanation. Julia Garner and Josh Brolin star in this one, dropping August 8.

Final Destination Bloodlines

A group of films round out this year for Warner Bros. Final Destination Bloodlines, May 16, The Conjuring: Last Rites in September, and Mortal Kombat 2, in October, will complete the provided lineup.

2026 will bring a new slate of animated films for the whole family. The animated version of the much-loved Dr. Suess story, The Cat in the Hat, will feature the voice talent of Bill Hader in February 2026. Another one of Dr. Suess’ adaptations, Oh The Places You WIll Go, will be released next year as well. Bad Fairies, an animated musical, Dynamic Duo, and a screen version of The Lunar Chronicle series will all hit theaters in 2026 and into 2027.

The Bride!

Maggie Gyllenhaal will bring us a new artsy, Bonnie and Clyde-esque version of a classic horror character from Mary Shelley. The Bride! will be brought to life in March of 2027. Jesse Buckley plays the Bride, Frankenstein’s better half. Inspired by a tattoo she saw, Gyllenhaal set out to give the Bride of Frankenstein a new, edgy life that was shot in IMAX. Buckley described the relationship between her character and Christian Bale’s Frankenstein as “the punkiest love that has ever existed.” It is definitely an interesting take on an old classic.

One Battle After Another

One Battle After Another will bring Leonardo DiCaprio to the screen in a film by Paul Thomas Anderson. The film is about a problem-ridden revolutionary who is trying to get help from others in order to find his daughter. The film cast includes Benicio Del Toro, Regina Hall, Teyana Taylor, and Sean Penn, who all seem to be involved in the disappearance. Hopefully, we will get more about this film in the upcoming months, but it looks like another interesting vehicle for DiCaprio.
