Who’s playing that piano? It is Jon Batiste starting Amazon MGM Studios presentation off on a high note. Following his performance was a trailer for the new The Thomas Crowne Affair. A slightly darker and more action filled version will feature Michael B. Jordan as Thomas Crowne. Michael B. Jordan described seeing the original and wanting to be part of it. Adria Arjona joined him on stage to introduce her strong character who plays opposite Crowne in the movie. “Revenge is a work of art.” March 2027.
Amazon MGM Studios CinemaCon 2026 Presentation
Project Hail Mary’s star, Ryan Gosling, and its creators, Phil Lord and Chris Miller, came on stage to thank the audience at CinemaCon for helping with their success. They also announced that the studio will extend the theatrical window for the movie.
Masters of the Universe presented their first look next. Travis Knight, Nicholas Galitzine, and Camila Mendes star in the adaptation of the 1980s classic. The movie is about identity. The plot centers around Adam, who is led back to Eternia by the Sword of Power, and becomes the hero that they need, He-Man. Get ready for nostalgia on June 5.
We’ve got a look at the sequel to The Beekeeper, The Beekeeper 2, coming to theaters January 16, 2027. In the exclusive clip, Jason Statham is back again in an action packed adventure. He needs to keep things in check and save the President. The clip showed the fast paced action and fight scenes that draw audiences to these films.
James Bond, with director Denis Villeneuve was mentioned. The film is coming, but we have no announcements on who will play the next Bond.
The Sheep Detectives stars Hugh Jackman and Nicholas Braun. They were on the stage to talk about this movie. It is a live action story about a mystery that must be solved by sheep. The extended look at the film shows the story where their shepherd has been killed and the sheep must use what they know to try to solve the crime. It will be a family outing on Mother’s Day 2026.
A mob movie will be heading to theaters soon called, A Colt is My Passport. The action filled movie is set in the 1970s and is about a contract killer who might have killed the wrong person. It is a reimagining of the original 1967 film. The movie is filled with action and drama.
How to Rob a Bank partied on to stage next with their trailer. Pete Davidson, and David Leitch were there to tell more about the film. The story is about masked robbers, who stream their crimes on social media and teach others how to do it themselves. Viral fame leads to unwanted attention from the authorities. As we get further into the film we must ask, who is robbing who? In theaters September 4.
Your Mother, Your Mother, Your Mother will star Mahershala Ali and John Cho. Ali mentioned he wanted to make this movie because of the action and the story. It’s a complicated thriller that will entertain. The main character in the film sells oils and perfumes, is a father, and… a killer. He needs to do what he needs to do to support his 3 daughters. Fall 2026.
Based on the best selling novel, Verity will hit theaters October 9. Anne Hathaway and Dakota Johnson star. The first look at this thriller gave us small glimpses of the twists and turns that will be present in the film. Verity Crawford needs a ghostwriter and when one arrives, things take a turn. October 2027.
March 2027 will bring us a story that is known worldwide, The Chosen. A story about Jesus will fill our theater screens.
Spaceballs: The New One, greeted us with a video teaser. Director Josh Greenbaum shared more on the upcoming movie. Bill Pullman, Daphne Zuniga, Josh Gad, Lewis Pullman, and Rick Moranis, joined him on stage to promote the movie with their own brand of comedy. The first scenes from the movie were shown to the audience as a hilarious mishmash of scenes. It already had the CinemaCon audience laughing. May the Schwartz be with you, on April 23, 2027.
The movie, Highlander, will star Henry Cavill as its lead. It is still in the works. The audience did get a teaser, though. The movie looks to bring modern elements to a classic story. The characters race to the gathering, where “There can be only one.” Highlander will be filled with action packed scenes and enticing cinematic locations.
I Play Rocky is a biographical drama of how Sylvester Stallone was able to make the movie that made him a household name. The new cast, including Anthony Ippolito, will embody the people who went on a journey to make the movie, Rocky. The teaser shows how the cards were stacked against Stallone in making his movie. Ippolito also shows his talent at playing Stallone. It will be an interesting behind the scenes look at a story we all know on November 13, 2026.
