She spent two unforgettable seasons as Bix Caleen in Andor, earning the kind of critical praise that makes Hollywood sit up a little straighter. She absolutely stole the screen in Hit Man. She is currently dating DCU actor Jason Momoa. And now, if the latest rumors are any indication, Adria Arjona may be about to become the most iconic superheroine in all of comics.
According to popular celebrity blind item account DeuxMoi, Arjona is reportedly James Gunn’s “number one choice” to play Wonder Woman in the new DCU, with the project currently in development from Supergirl writer Ana Nogueira. The rumor blew up fast, flooding social media with fan art, enthusiastic debate, and more than a few people simply typing “yes” in all caps. And honestly, it is not hard to see why.
Is Adria Arjona going to be the new Wonder Woman?

Arjona has the effortless combination of beauty, physicality, and emotional range that the role demands. Her portrayal of Bix Caleen in Andor brought tremendous heart to the Star Wars series, with her character enduring some of the show’s most harrowing storylines while never losing her fierce, magnetic center. That is exactly the kind of performer you want suiting up as Diana Prince: someone who can sell the warrior without losing the woman underneath.
Gunn himself has been coy about the whole thing. When fans initially started speculating that his decision to follow Arjona on Instagram was a signal, he pushed back with a grin. He acknowledged that she would make a great Wonder Woman, but clarified that he had been following her since working together years earlier and that the follow meant nothing in terms of casting. Sure, James. Sure.

What makes this rumor even more electric is the combination of factors working in Arjona’s favor. She is currently in a relationship with Momoa, who is playing Lobo in the upcoming Supergirl, and Gunn is famously known for casting actors he has a history and friendship with. Gunn regulars like Nathan Fillion, Michael Rooker, and his wife Jennifer Holland all have roles in the DCU. Arjona, who previously appeared in Gunn’s Brightburn universe, fits that mold perfectly.
That said, Gunn has also made clear that no casting is happening until the script is finished, and that script is not finished yet. So for now, this remains firmly in the realm of exciting speculation. But with Supergirl arriving on June 26, 2026, and the fandom already hungry for the DCU’s full Trinity to assemble, the pressure to name a Wonder Woman is only going to grow louder.
If Arjona does end up in the golden tiara and the iconic red and blue armor, the internet will absolutely explode. And judging by the fan art already circulating? It would be completely deserved.
