Coming on the heels of a red-hot Evolution card and show-stealing performances at WrestleMania, the WWE Women’s Division is once again ready to show up and show out at the first-ever two-night SummerSlam this weekend. After shocking the world at WrestleMania to upset Charlotte Flair and retain her WWE Women’s Championship, Tiffany Stratton heads into SummerSlam as WWE’s longest-reigning active champion, but Tiffy Time may finally be up.
With only a year on the main roster under her belt, Stratton’s 200+ day tenure with the belt has been undeniably impressive, but she faces an arguably more intimidating rookie at SummerSlam: Jade Cargill.

Though “The Storm” has held gold as the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion (alongside Bianca Belair), Jade has yet to nab a singles title since coming to WWE – a statistic she’s looking to correct this weekend by knocking off Stratton.
Also on Saturday night is the defense of the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships, where The Judgment Day (represented by Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez) defend against Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss, the “Allies of Convenience.”
A few weeks ago, Flair and Bliss seemed like a ramshackle tag team destined to implode, but the two former world champions have been on the same page as of late, supporting each other ringside and sporting matching gear.
If it’s a clean match, the cards are in Flair and Bliss’ favor, but knowing the Judgment Day, there’s bound to be some kind of interference, whether that be by Intercontinental Champion Dominik or a returning Liv Morgan, who’s currently out on injury.

As is the case with Mr. Money in the Bank, Seth Rollins, the status of Liv’s injury is still one big question mark, so it’s anyone’s guess as to whether or not she’ll be back in time to help her faction snag the win. Assuming Liv Morgan does return, there’s also the question of whether or not she’ll turn on Roxanne Perez, which could add another potential wrinkle to The Judgment Day’s already precarious tag title defense.
Come Sunday night, Becky Lynch and Lyra Valkyria will once again resume their feud over the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship, looking to put things to bed for good in a no disqualifications, no count-outs, last chance match. If Lynch can manage to hang on to her title, Valkyria won’t be able to challenge her for it again, raising the stakes for the already-tense rubber match.
Though the last chance stipulation makes this match do-or-die for Valkyria, the no disqualification stip would seem to work in the favor of the ever-slippery Lynch, who has cheated and stolen her way through this intercontinental title reign.
No DQ also leaves the door wide open for Bayley (who’s otherwise not booked at SummerSlam) to get involved, though between her mysterious social media posts and strange backstage behavior, there’s no telling where her head is at or who she’d try to help.

Last but not least is arguably the most anticipated match of the evening (if not the entire card), the triple threat for the WWE Women’s World Championship, where new champion Naomi will make her first defense since cashing in her Money in the Bank contract at Evolution.
For a first title defense, Naomi’s match at SummerSlam is any champion’s nightmare: a triple threat against former world champions IYO SKY and Rhea Ripley. With both SKY and Ripley chomping at the bit to reclaim what they each consider to be “their” title, Naomi is undoubtedly fighting an uphill battle.
Thankfully for the “caution queen,” though, triple threats in WWE are no disqualification, meaning she has ample opportunity to use weapons and cheat as much as she possibly can – the same methodology that allowed her to win the world title in the first place. Though both SKY and Ripley are juggernauts of the Women’s Division, the smart money is on Naomi clawing her way to victory at SummerSlam, as long as Cardi B doesn’t get to her first.
