Originally introduced in 2018 as both the home of the Mae Young Classic and a way to honor the women of WWE’s past and present, WWE Evolution returns for a sophomore outing this weekend.
Though Evolution 2 may be light in the “legends” department (aside from semi-regulars Nikki Bella and Trish Stratus), the abundance of NXT talent on display, combined with the number of titles up for grabs, promises an eventful (if not groundbreaking) second outing for WWE’s only all-women’s pay-per-view.
WWE Women’s Tag-Team Title Match

One of the many Evolution matches impacted by Liv Morgan’s unfortunately timed injury, the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships are up for grabs in a fatal four-way, as Raquel Rodriguez and new Judgment Day tag team partner Roxanne Perez defend against teams from Raw, SmackDown, and NXT.
The recently-reunited Kabuki Warriors will represent Raw, while Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair wrestle for SmackDown, and Zaruca (Zaria and Sol Ruca) represent NXT. With multiple-time tag team champs, world title winners, Money in the Bank holders, and active double champions making up the field, it’s anyone’s game, but Rodriguez and Perez still seem primed to pull off a win.
The Women’s Battle Royal

Perhaps the biggest “question mark” of Evolution 2 is the fabled Women’s Battle Royale, which is already confirmed to include Nikki Bella, Giulia, Stephanie Vaquer, Natalya, Lash Legend, Kelani Jordan, Jaida Parker, Tatum Paxley, Izzi Dame, Maxxine Dupri, Ivy Nile, and Candice LeRae. With the winner guaranteed a title shot at Clash in Paris, the smart money is on an established main-event player like Nikki Bella to come out on top.
Becky Lynch vs Lyra Valkyria vs Bayley

From mentor-mentee to bitter enemies, from friends to rivals, there’s no shortage of bad blood between Women’s Intercontinental Champion Becky Lynch and her challengers Lyra Valkyria and Bayley. With all three women having held gold (Valkyria was the inaugural Intercontinental Champ, and Bayley is a WWE Grand Slam Champion), there’s no obvious winner in this intercontinental triple threat, but Bayley is long overdue to hold gold, especially with Lynch having dashed her recent WrestleMania aspirations.
Jade Cargill vs Naomi

The latest chapter in a blood feud that will no doubt continue past Evolution, Jade Cargill and Naomi will once again take it to the ring and attempt to settle their issues, this time in a No Holds Barred match. Last time they met (Money in the Bank qualifiers), Naomi pulled out a win, so barring (no pun intended) the unexpected return of Bianca Belair, it seems safe to say this round will go to Cargill.
Jacy Jayne vs Jordynne Grace

In one of several matches featuring NXT talent, the NXT Women’s Champion (and Fatal Influence member) Jacy Jayne will defend her title against Jordynne “The Juggernaut” Grace. Though Jayne has been able to scrape through thanks to interference from stable members Fallon Henley and Jazmyn Nyx, the recent alliance between Grace and Blake Monroe could prove the equalizer needed to finally knock Jayne off as champion.
Tiffany Stratton vs Trish Stratus

From Elimination Chamber allies to Evolution champion and challenger, Tiffany Stratton and Trish Stratus write a new chapter in their 2025 saga as Stratton defends her WWE Women’s Championship. Though it’s unlikely Stratus will knock off Stratton, doing so would raise Trish’s world title count to eight and offer yet another possible target for a Naomi Money in the Bank Cash-In.
Rhea Ripley Vs IYO SKY

In the WWE women’s division, all roads lead to Rhea Ripley, and though the Genius of the SKY has been frustratingly absent from TV (and sparse in title defenses), IYO SKY returns to the ring to defend her world title against the “eradicator.” Whether one-on-one or in a triple threat, Ripley has yet to defeat SKY in the squared circle, and for better or worse, Evolution seems like the perfect venue to once again put Mami on top.
