Its standout detail? A breathtaking pattern of gold and silver flowers that danced down the dress like vines on a trellis. Complemented by dazzling Aquazzura sandals, de Armas looked every inch the action queen—and fashion icon.
De Armas’s latest role as Eve Maccaro, a ballerina-turned-assassin with vengeance in her heart and blades at the ready, has cemented her status as one of Hollywood’s reigning female action stars. Having already captivated audiences as the unforgettable Bond Girl Paloma in No Time to Die and held her own opposite Ryan Gosling and Chris Evans in The Grey Man, she’s now carving out her own lane with Ballerina—a gritty, full-throttle entry into the ever-expanding John Wick universe.
“I want more of these kinds of roles for women,” de Armas shared. “Ballerina shows how we can lead action movies with our own stories, grit, and strength.”
The film required intense physical prep, with training regimens that included calorie cycling, recovery therapy, and demanding choreography. “When you’re training at this level, everything is important—diet, sleep, massages, physiotherapy,” she said. “If you don’t get good recovery, you’re screwed.”
With Ballerina on the horizon and awards already rolling in, Ana de Armas isn’t just playing an action star—she’s become one.
