Few women in WWE, perhaps in all of wrestling, have had a better year than Liv Morgan. After entering #30 in the 2024 Women’s Rumble, Liv took champion Rhea Ripley out of action, forcing Ripley to relinquish the title. Morgan then turned around and beat Becky Lynch for the title at King and Queen of the Ring after Lynch picked it up in a Battle Royale — marking the first official victory on the Liv Morgan Revenge Tour.
With the title in her grasp, Liv’s 2024 continued to heat up as she successfully poached “Dirty” Dominik Mysterio and ingratiated herself as part of Finn Balor’s New Judgment Day, effectively replacing Rhea. Though Ripley returned at SummerSlam and their feud resumed, repetitive booking and an abundance of Dominik quickly soured a hot story — but Liv continued to thrive, bringing tag partner Raquel Rodriguez into the fold and nabbing a Crown Jewel Championship.

While it’s one thing for a wrestler to shine in a well-written feud, Morgan’s success over the past year has arguably been in *spite* of the underwhelming resolution to her deeply personal feud with Rhea. Though the booking may not have been satisfying, Morgan turned every match in her feud with Ripely into a fierce brawl, bleeding and biting wherever possible.
Towards the end of Liv’s championship reign, the writing seemed to be on the wall: with Rhea back, Liv’s days were numbered. But while booking may position her in Rhea’s shadow, Liv’s tenure post-Women’s World Title has been chock full of standout performances. Whether she’s getting whipped by Bianca’s braid in the Elimination Chamber, stirring up drama between Naomi and Jade, or flouncing around the ring before a tag title defense with Raquel, Liv continues to be one of WWE’s most dynamic performers.
Liv Morgan: Chaos, Gold, and the Long Game in WWE

But with WrestleMania rapidly approaching and both title pictures at capacity, there doesn’t seem to be a clear path forward for Liv Morgan, even if she’s currently holding gold as one-half of the Women’s Tag Team Champions. A few weeks ago, Naomi and Bianca might’ve been looking to reclaim their tag gold, but with the bonds in the Big Three breaking down, there don’t seem to be any immediate challengers for Liv and Raquel’s gold.
Then, there’s the issue of her romance with Dominik Mysterio. Liv only got with Dom in the first place as a way to get under Rhea’s skin, so with their feud in the rear-view mirror, one wonders when Raquel and Liv will finally split from the New Judgment Day. Sure, Liv has an all-but-guaranteed program with Becky Lynch once she returns, but with The Man busy on acting projects, holding out for a Morgan/Lynch feud would leave Liv on the bench for months.

Regardless of how she’s booked, though, Liv Morgan’s intensely physical in-ring style, spirited promos, and relentless work ethic continue to make her one of WWE’s greatest assets.
