As if being “The Man,” the women’s intercontinental champion, star of Happy Gilmore 2, and a mother wasn’t enough, Becky Lynch is adding another item to her already-busy agenda: helping her real-life husband, Seth Rollins, deal with CM Punk. After low-blowing the “Second City Saint” during the main event at Clash in Paris, Lynch revealed herself as Punk’s masked assailant, formally aligning herself (on TV) with Rollins.

Granted, this isn’t the first time the duo have joined forces in kayfabe – in 2019, Lynch and Rollins teamed up for a brief but infamous tag run that saw them squaring off against the likes of Baron Corbin and Lacey Evans. But while neither Rollins and Lynch nor the fans reflect on their 2019 tag run with particular pleasure, it’s been a long time since the days of “Man Squared.”
If Becky’s red-hot promo against CM Punk on Raw was any indication, the dual heel combination of Rollins and Lynch was the missing ingredient to a successful tag run for the real-life couple – but what does a Becky/Seth 2025 team-up look like? Is Becky a full-fledged member of “The Vision” now, a la Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed? Should we expect to see her interfere in Seth’s matches?

Sure, she and Rollins are both under the Raw brand, but Becky is still reigning and defending Women’s Intercontinental champion, and is plenty busy already dealing with a (seemingly) unhinged Bayley. With Paul Heyman out of action for the near future (thanks to an attack by Roman Reigns at Clash in Paris), it’s possible that Becky could pull double duty: defending her title while also functioning as mouthpiece for Seth. But whether or not Becky is a card-carrying member of The Vision, the agenda seems clear for the immediate future: destroy CM Punk.
As Monday’s segment proved, though, Punk isn’t willing to lay his hands on a woman (even if she calls herself “The Man”) and he’ll need to recruit someone from the fairer sex to deal with Becky while he settles the score with Seth once and for all – but who? Though rumblings (or more often, wishful thinking from fans) of an AJ Lee return have floated around online for months, if not years, all signs point to 2025 finally being the year AJ laces up her Chuck Taylors and gets back in the ring.

Though it’s been more than a decade since she last set foot in a WWE ring, AJ Lee may just be the mystery tag partner CM Punk needs to take on Becky Lynch and Seth Rollins in mixed tag action. With both Punk and Becky slated to appear on this week’s SmackDown, the stage is set for what could be one of the most talked-about returns in WWE history.
