It’s amazing! Taylor Swift 100 Million Monthly Spotify users. The season’s been anything but harsh for Taylor Swift, who has just shattered Spotify records by becoming the first female artist to amass over 100 million monthly listeners.

Spotify took to their social media channels on Tuesday to proclaim the milestone, stating: “A royal achievement. Taylor Swift made history on August 29th by becoming the first woman artist to reach a listener base of 100 million on Spotify.”

The Weeknd currently reigns supreme on the platform, boasting a listenership of over 110 million, having himself crossed the 100-million listener threshold in February. Not far behind are Bad Bunny with 80 million and Ed Sheeran with 77 million listeners monthly.

This landmark achievement for Swift follows the release of her latest re-imagined album, “Speak Now (Taylor’s Version),” which launched in July and immediately topped the Billboard 200 chart with 716,000 album-equivalent units. Not only did the album climb to the No. 1 spot, but it also made Swift the first female artist to have four of her albums simultaneously appear in Billboard’s top 10, making her the third musician ever to accomplish such a feat.

During the closing nights of her U.S. Eras Tour at the SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, Swift tantalized fans with the announcement that her “1989 (Taylor’s Version)” album is slated for release this autumn. The reveal was hardly a shock, as Swift had been strategically leaving hints about the re-recorded album, confirming an October 27 release date.

“Here we are, the final night of the U.S. leg of the Eras Tour, in the eighth month of the year, on the ninth day,” Swift playfully told her audience. “You might notice some fresh ensembles in tonight’s performance,” she added, referring to her trail of cryptic clues.

Swift went on to excite the crowd even more, stating, “I’ve been looking forward to sharing something I’ve been working on for an incredibly long time. Rather than simply talk about it, let me show you.” She then unveiled the new album art for “1989’s” re-recorded version on the massive screen behind her.

Swift’s Eras Tour is set to proceed with its global dates through the fall of 2024. In a recent announcement, the superstar has also added an additional 15 dates for North America.
