The Jurassic World franchise returns with another epic installment directed by Gareth Edwards. Tracking a July release, the Jurassic World Rebirth trailer has everything you’ve come to expect. Pulse-pounding action. Raptors. A colorful cast of characters and then some. But the scene stealer here (and no doubt in the movie too) is Scarlett Johansson. And her toned arms. Seriously, they’re a character in and of themselves in the film from the looks of it.
The Avengers star has built a career starring in among many others, tons of action films like Lucy and Black Widow to name a few, and with her star power from the coveted superhero cinematic universe, she’s all set to boost this mega blockbuster IP and retain another big franchise to herself.
Let’s discuss.
A Dangerous Mission For a Humanitarian Cause
The trailer begins with one Dr. Henry Loomis (Jonathan Bailey), a paleontologist being approached by cover operative Zora Bennett (Scarlett Johansson, looking as stunning as ever) for a dangerous film. While no details about the specifics are given, it’s framed as a medical breakthrough that could change lives on a massive scale. Among those assisting the 2 would be team leader Duncan Kincaid (Mahershala Ali), another big star whose screen presence is epic.
The team needs to escort the good doctor to one of the remote tropical regions wherein these dinosaurs still reside as the atmosphere is inhospitable for them to the events of the previous film.

While in these tropical regions, they must uncover three of the largest creatures and get their DNA, ideally through an egg or risk facing off against their parents, which in the words of Dr. Loomis are ‘flying carnivores the size of an F-16’. ‘Nuff said.
After that, a slew of shots showcasing the group of protagonists getting into some good trouble, scaling dangerous cliffs, and escaping near-death situations against the deadly and gigantic mutated dinosaurs commence, which to be fair look pretty darn interesting.
But OMG can we talk about how gorgeous Scarlett Johansson looks in this film? The role of Bennett, a badass mercenary looks like it was tailor-made for the veteran action flick star and it fits like a glove. Ms. Johansson looks like she’s been getting her workouts in for her right to bare arms, coz she shows off those biceps like a pro in this trailer.
The trailer caps off with our group of unsung heroes surrounded on a ship by a bunch of dinosaurs looking to stalk, defend their territory, and hunt our merry band of protagonists for sustenance. A pretty big no-no for them.
Honestly, give me Scarlett Johansson looking drop-dead gorgeous in a tank top holding a sniper rifle channeling her inner Natasha Romanoff any day and I’m IN.
The Jurassic World Franchise Could be Huge for Scarlett Johansson’s Career
There’s no doubt about how big a name Scarlett Johansson is. She is gorgeous, smart, talented, charismatic and oh-so-sexy. She is also no stranger to being part of a huge IP ala the Marvel Cinematic Universe of films, wherein she played the sensual and dangerous spy Natasha Romanoff, aka Black Widow.

After her exit from the MCU with the Black Widow film this is the best time for her to attach herself to a $9 billion franchise as the lead star in a film of this scale. The career boost alone is fantastic.
She brings the charm, the badassery, and the necessary grit and believability to a role of this nature and that coupled with a franchise of this magnitude is about to catapult her into the stratosphere. We’re here for it because, at the end of the day, more ScarJo is never a bad thing. This film looked action-packed, stuffed to the brim with exciting locations, visuals, and set pieces. Who else is all set to see Scarlett Johansson take on some raptors this July?
