Kara Zor-El wears blue and red. Milly Alcock, apparently, prefers to keep things a little more dangerous. At the world premiere of Supergirl at The Plaza at 300 Ashland in Brooklyn on June 22, 2026, the Australian star stepped onto the carpet in a head-to-toe black ensemble that owed less to her superpowered alter ego and more to a certain leather-clad cat burglar. Standing in front of the giant Supergirl backdrop, with her own caped likeness towering behind her, Alcock made the contrast the whole point.
Let’s get into it, because this look has layers. She wore a strapless black bodice built from tightly ruched mesh, the kind of gathered, semi-sheer fabric that catches the light in soft horizontal ripples and hints at a peek of skin beneath. The bodice nipped in at the waist before blooming into a dramatic fringed, feathered peplum at the hip, a sculptural flourish that gave the silhouette real architecture. From there it streamlined into sleek black tailored trousers and pointed open-toe heels, keeping the bottom half sharp and elongated.
Milly Alcock traded her cape for opera gloves and a whole lot of leather, and the result was pure villain-coded glamour

And then there are the gloves. Those long, glossy black leather opera gloves are the entire mood of the outfit, the single accessory that tips the whole thing from red carpet elegant into Catwoman cool. Crossed neatly at her waist, they read as equal parts couture and cat burglar, and we are completely sold.
Styling kept everything else deliberately undone. Alcock wore her blonde hair in a loose, lived-in center part with piecey waves, paired with smoky, silver-flecked eye makeup that let her freckles peek through. A glittering crystal ear cuff added the only real sparkle, while the delicate tattoos scattered across her shoulders gave the polished look a hit of rock-and-roll edge. Lean, toned, and standing tall, she wore the drama of the outfit with the easy confidence of someone who knows the camera is on her.

The premiere caps off a whirlwind global tour for the DC Studios film, in which Alcock leads as Kara Zor-El opposite Jason Momoa’s Lobo, Matthias Schoenaerts, and Eve Ridley, with Supergirl hitting theaters June 26. She was in good company on the carpet, too: Rachel Brosnahan, who plays Lois Lane in the DCU, turned out to show her support, teasing that there is plenty more excitement ahead as the universe expands.
Cape optional. Killer styling, mandatory.
