Hold on to your seats, Jurassic fans—Jurassic World Rebirth is stomping its way back into theaters, promising to bring the iconic franchise to new heights. Universal Pictures has unveiled the first look at the seventh installment in the beloved dinosaur saga, which has captivated audiences for over three decades. Starring Scarlett Johansson, Jonathan Bailey, and Mahershala Ali, the film is directed by Gareth Edwards, known for his work on Rogue One: A Star Wars Story and The Creator. The screenplay comes from none other than David Koepp, the mastermind behind the original Jurassic Park script that thrilled audiences back in 1993.
Set five years after the events of Jurassic World Dominion, the new movie takes us to a planet where dinosaurs are struggling to survive in a world that no longer welcomes them. “The planet’s ecology has proven largely inhospitable to dinosaurs,” teases the official synopsis.
Those that remain are confined to isolated equatorial regions, resembling the prehistoric climates they once dominated. The plot thickens as it reveals that three of the most colossal creatures in these tropical biospheres hold the secret to a groundbreaking drug with miraculous life-saving properties for humankind.
Adding to the intrigue, the film introduces a host of new characters with compelling backstories. Scarlett Johansson stars as Zora Bennett, a covert operations expert tasked with leading a mission to extract DNA from the remaining giant dinosaur species. Mahershala Ali plays her partner, Duncan Kincaid, while Jonathan Bailey takes on the role of Dr. Henry Loomis, a brilliant paleontologist. Rupert Friend (Homeland) appears as Martin Krebs, a representative of the pharmaceutical giant funding the risky expedition. Rounding out the team are Philippine Velge (Station Eleven), Bechir Sylvain (BMF), and Ed Skrein (Deadpool), who each bring their skills to the dangerous mission.

But this wouldn’t be a Jurassic movie without unexpected twists. The team stumbles upon a family of civilians whose boating adventure is cut short by a group of aggressive aquatic dinosaurs, leaving them all stranded on a mysterious island. As they navigate the island’s dangers, they uncover a dark, long-hidden secret that could change everything we know about the past—and the future.
Manuel Garcia-Rulfo (The Lincoln Lawyer) joins the cast as Reuben Delgado, the father of the shipwrecked family, which includes Luna Blaise (Manifest), David Iacono (The Summer I Turned Pretty), and Audrina Miranda (Lopez vs. Lopez). With a cast of this caliber and a story that promises heart-pounding action and jaw-dropping revelations, Jurassic World Rebirth is set to keep the dinosaur franchise roaring into the future.
