Chelsea Green continues to reign supreme. The self-proclaimed “hot mess” of WWE has successfully defended her WWE Women’s United States Championship yet again, extending her historic run as the longest-reigning champion in the title’s history. On the March 18 episode of WWE NXT, Green outlasted Sol Ruca in a dramatic bout filled with interference, high-flying action, and some classic underhanded tactics.
Chelsea Green defeats Sol Ruca. AND STILL!

Flanked by her loyal administration—Piper Niven and Alba Fyre—Chelsea Green entered the match with backup at the ready. Meanwhile, Ruca had ZARIA in her corner, a move that proved pivotal as the match unfolded. Ruca came out swinging, dominating the early minutes until Fyre distracted the referee, allowing Niven to get involved. As if the odds weren’t already stacked against the challenger, Ruca suffered a knee injury mid-match but fought through the pain, nearly pulling off an upset with a cartwheel DDT. Just when it seemed like she had Green down for the count, Fyre slid in to place the champ’s foot on the bottom rope, keeping the match alive.
Red White & GREEN

From there, the chaos escalated. ZARIA took out Fyre with a devastating spear, only to be blindsided by Niven. Ruca, ever the daredevil, delivered an awesome moonsault to the outside, leveling Niven. But in the final moments, Green’s instincts—and some timely opportunism—sealed the deal. As Ruca set up for her signature Sol Snatcher, Green expertly tripped her, capitalizing on the injured knee before delivering the Un-Pretty-Her for the decisive pinfall victory.
With 95 days and counting as champion, Chelsea Green continues to cement herself as a dominant—and cunning—force in the NXT women’s division. And if Monday night was any indication, it’s going to take more than just a challenger’s best effort to dethrone the WWE’s most devious and patriotic queen.
