Alan Ritchson is back to flex his formidable biceps once more in the eagerly awaited second season of Reacher, set to premiere on Prime Video. Reacher season 2 trailer for the new season has just been released, and it promises another high-octane installment of the hit series. Viewers can look forward to the season’s launch this December, with a narrative unfolding over eight episodes, delivered on a weekly release schedule. The adventure kicks off with the first three episodes on December 15, with each Friday thereafter bringing a new episode, culminating on January 19, 2024.

Season 2 draws its plot from Lee Child’s eleventh Jack Reacher novel, “Bad Luck and Trouble”. In this season, Reacher reconnects with his former military unit after one of their number dies under mysterious circumstances.

What Is Reacher About?

The inaugural season, drawing from the book “One Shot”, introduces us to Jack Reacher: an ex-military cop turned nomadic avenger. Reacher finds himself in the town of Margrave, GA, where he’s quickly entangled in a gruesome murder mystery. Wrongly accused, Reacher is on a quest not only to prove his innocence but also to dismantle a deep-rooted criminal conspiracy in the town, involving everything from counterfeiting to other illicit enterprises.

The series benefits from the creative input of its author, Lee Child, who acts as an executive producer. Showrunner Nick Santora, known for his Emmy-nominated work, also brings his storytelling expertise to the table as both a writer and executive producer. The series’ production team is rounded out by the likes of Don Granger, Scott Sullivan, and Adam Higgs, along with David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, and Matt Thunell representing Skydance.
