Marvel Rivals, the insanely popular 6v6 Hero Shooter that has been gaining quite the traction online for a variety of reasons, is a HIT among comic and gaming fans alike. Part of the reason is because of the insane attention to detail and care put into the roster of characters, and part of the reason is because the game does not in fact shy away from some harmless cheesecake and sex appeal for its characters, particularly the female ones.
Be it Sue Storm (popular for her infamous Malice skin), Squirrel Girl’s voluptuous build, and now the latest addition to the roster, Emma Frost, our certified thigh-queen Telepath, there’s something for everyone out here. But, with such a robust cast of characters, we can’t help but wonder who else they’ll add to the list!
So, here are a few characters that might be a GREAT fit for the game, ranked in no particular order.
7. Elektra

Elektra Natchios is a deadly assassin, martial artist, and a great take on the femme fatale archetype, and would be a fantastic addition to the game. So popular was she that Psylocke’s costume came to be inspired by her (the costume appears for her character as the classic costume in the game).
Armed with her dual Sai and a crimson getup, she’s agile, muscular, stoic, and drop-dead gorgeous. Her acrobatic style could make her a great fit for a duelist, with a get-in-get-out style gameplay loop being perfect for her.
Her new redesign by Rivals would be curious to look forward to as well, but rest assured, her classic outfit would fit right in with the game’s open nature towards sexy characters.
6. Mystique

Speaking of Femme Fatales, who could be more worthy of that title than Raven Darkholme, AKA Mystique? It’d be interesting to see them incorporate her abilities into the game, given her shape-shifting powers being one primed for deception.
The blue-skinned and white dress-wearing mutant has been a known troublemaker in the comics, and is one of the most popular X-Men characters from the comics. It’d also be fantastic if Rivals adds a Rebecca Romijn-inspired X-Men movie skin for her character, given that it’s just the right kind of risque for the game’s style and its receptive audience.
5. Rogue

The current season of Marvel Rivals is all about Krakoa and heavily focused on the X-Men. Given all that mutant mania and the crazy abilities and types of characters already inhabiting the game (Storm, Iron Man, and Human Torch, I’m looking at y’all) it’s about time the sexiest southern belle the Marvel Universe ever did see makes her debut here.
Seriously, Rogue is stylish, strong, sexy, and an absolute powerhouse of a character. After an excellent appearance in X-Men 97, she’s ready to make her debut in Rivals and would be a fan favorite instantly.
4. Captain Marvel

Captain Marvel, the CEO of Space, as she’s been known to call herself in one comic, would be yet another great team player to add in a game that needs a bit more help fleshing out both Strategists and Vanguards. The Thing and Emma Frost being added to the roster certainly helped, but I think Captain Marvel would be a good fit for the Vanguard class given her raw power.
There is also a fun list of costumes the Rivals team can add for her, given the MCU synergy they love adding to the game, so it’d be great to see both her MCU outfit and her Ms. Marvel black and gold costume in the game.
3. She-Hulk

Speaking of Vanguards, the best candidate for the role is the one and only, the Savage, the Sensational She-Hulk.
Jennifer Walters, Attorney at Law and Avenger, backup Member of the Fantastic Four, and all-around style icon, packs a powerful punch in the comics and would complement the game so well if added, which makes me quite excited to recommend her for this list. She could have fun team-up abilities with her cousin, The Incredible Hulk, who’s already in the game. She’s had many cool outfits in the comics, which would make for some FANTASTIC alternate outfits (get it, coz she’s been a backup member of the FF and that could be one of her outfits?)
2. Black Cat

Duelists might be a bit too overcrowded as it is right now, but there’s no better addition to that part of the roster than our very own Felicia Hardy, The Black Cat.
Black Cat has long since been a favorite of any Amazing Spidey fan, and her inclusion in the game would make tons of them happy for the banter between her and Spider-Man alone. That said, she has her own set of powers, including ‘bad luck powers’ which can cause her enemies or pursuers to make mistakes or slip up, giving her an edge in a fight, or a perfect chance to escape. How the Rivals team will work to implement those in-game would be something interesting for sure, but it’d be awesome to have Hardy in the game officially.
1. Gamora

We know her. We love her. It’s the famous daughter of Thanos who went against her own Dad and joined up with the lovable goofs that are the Guardians of the Galaxy. Gamora would fit right in, given that her teammates are already part of the roster, excluding Drax so far. But having her team up with Star Lord, Rocket, Groot, and Adam Warlock would result in all sorts of hilarity and playful banter.
But above all else, Gamora is a deadly assassin in her own right and not to be trifled with. She’d be a kickass +1 to the roster, and GOTG fans would welcome her with open arms.
So that’s it for our top 7 list of badass female characters that Marvel Rivals can add to its roster next! We guess that pretty much all of these awesome ladies will be added to the roster eventually, so it’s only a question of when.
