Marvel Rivals, a new 6v6 hero shooter has been taking the world by storm this past month, and for a few very good reasons. Developed by NetEase games, this multiplayer hero shooter features a robust cast of 33 fully playable characters from various corners of the Marvel Universe, all adapted to perfection.
One of the reasons this game is doing quite well is the rather intriguing character designs for the entire roster. 16. Hela – Default Skin
Hela, The Goddess of Death is a long-standing character in the Marvel Universe mostly associated with Thor comic books. She was shot straight to mainstream appeal the moment she made her MCU debut in Thor: Ragnarok.
Played by the incomparable Cate Blanchett, she defined a new wave of fans that awaited her return after enjoying Blanchett’s portrayal of the character.
Hela makes her debut in Marvel Rivals with a default skin that bears quite the resemblance to her MCU counterpart. The crown’s iconic design really catches the eye and the outfit’s designed to perfection, not too much and not too little going on with it in terms of visual design.
Hela’s hourglass physique is on full display accentuated by the attire. With a skin this cool, all shall bow to the Goddess of Death.

15. Squirrel Girl – Default Skin
Squirrel Girl jumped on the scene with her inclusion on the roster and ever since, she’s become a fan-favorite. Sporting a new spin on her classic outfit, she’s a cheerful,, curvaceous, and all-around badass.
Her outfit includes a jacket, a top, short shorts, thigh-high socks, and shoes. Her ginger hair and bright bushy tail make her stand out as one of Rivals’ best characters on the roster and her costume is a straight banger too.

14. Cloak & Dagger – Growth & Decay
Cloak & Dagger are one of the most unique characters in Marvel Rivals. This strategist class duo goes crazy in matches as Dagger plays more like a healer whereas Cloak deals copious amounts of damage.
But their unique looks are only accentuated further by this brand-new skin called Growth and Decay. Cloak’s horned look and Dagger sporting thorns are surprisingly in character for them both in terms of their visuals and the overall costume can only be described as incredible.

13. Black Panther – Bast’s Chosen
The name says it all. T’Challa AKA The Black Panther is a ferocious warrior, a noble king, and an amazing superhero in any medium he’s featured in. Be it the comics, animations featuring him, or his unforgettable portrayal by the late and great Chadwick Boseman in the film Black Panther, the character is a force to be reckoned with.

Storm is known as the Mistress of the Elements and is revered as a Goddess. As a mutant, she has the ability to control the weather and that makes her one of the most powerful X-Men on any variation of the team.
During a period of time when she lost her powers and had to learn how to live without them, Ororo Munroe sported a mohawk and a punk rock look in the comics, one which has faithfully been recreated here in the game. NetEase Games was flexing their knowledge and respect for the source material by adding such a kick-ass skin to the game and it captures her aura perfectly.

10. Moon Knight – Mr. Knight
Mr. Knight is a more civil identity of Moon Knight (Mark Spector, Steven Grant, and Jake Lockley). While Moon Knight is a vigilante operating outside the law ala most superheroes, Mr. Knight is known to be more cooperative with the police, hence the more civilized outfit. Now, fans can enjoy this more sophisticated look in Rivals as it is indeed, without a doubt one of the best skins in the game. You can also rock this one if you like his limited series, also titled Moon Knight.

9. Jeff The Land Shark – Incognito Dolphin
How could we do a list of awesome skins and not include this one? It’s just too adorable not to! Jeff the Shark is either the most adorable thing in this game to players, or the most hated.
This adorable lil munchkin has been absolutely terrifying teams during matches with this ult, which includes swallowing them up and spitting them out…of the map. While that might be all rage-inducing, his skin, Incognito Dolphin, might make it all better when you see this adorable pink dolphin skin.

8. Black Widow – Black Widow Skin
The Black Widow is one of the most iconic characters in the Marvel Universe as she’s been an integral part of the Avengers. Natasha Romanoff’s also finally had her solo movie titled simply Black Widow which MCU mastermind Kevin Feige had been working towards for years prior.
In the film, Black Widow, played by Scarlett Johansson, sports a sexy tight fitted white bodysuit during the exciting sequence in which she and her sister Yelena Belova (Florence Pugh) rescue the Red Guardian, which has since become an iconic outfit for her. 7. Psylocke – Blood Kariudo
When Marvel Rivals goes Van Helsing, this skin is what you get on one of the coolest Psychic Ninjas in the entire roster. Psylocke is no doubt a favorite for DPS players to pick as well as the fact that she’s one of the coolest, most mysterious, and beautiful characters in the Marvel Universe.
For Season 1 of the game, heavily featuring the Darkhold and Dracula, this skin was inevitable as it is appealing to look at. For anyone wanting to see a showcase on how to make an already badass character and make her even moreso, take notes.

6. Psylocke – Vengeance
Well, if you’re an X-Men fan this is a MUST-OWN skin. Psylocke has long since been a favorite of many a fan. She was most notable during the era of the Jim Lee-drawn X-Men comic books wherein she sported a blue one-piece swimsuit-like outfit (not unlike Street Fighter’s very own Cammy White)
Well, as such it’d have been criminal for NetEase Games to not have put that skin in the game, so they went about doing just that. Titled “Vengeance” this skin is for fans who want a more classic look for their favorite mutant Ninja. Though this incarnation of Psylocke isn’t Betsy Braddock (she is in fact a new version named Sai from the comic Demon Days) the outfit suits her just fine.

This skin is for Venom fans, no doubt. But most importantly, it’s for Marvel VS CAPCOM Venom fans! Marvel Rivals takes its inspiration from a few different mediums for sure, but its influence from Marvel VS CAPCOM games isn’t unnoticed by fans, specifically the light blue-esque version of everyone’s favorite Lethal Protector.

Mrs. Sue Richards of the Fantastic Four arrived alongside her husband Reed Richards, leader of the Fantastic Four in Season 1 of Marvel Rivals, and with it a brand new skin that has set temperatures soaring sky high.
Sue’s new outfit based on her Malice persona from the comics is, to put it plainly, bringing sexy back. it’s Spiky, it’s edgy, it’s sexy and it perfectly encapsulates the manifestation of her dark side from the books. Risque doesn’t even begin to cover it, though it is quite toned down compared to the source material.

2. The Scarlet Witch – Multiverse of Madness Skin
The Scarlet Witch is a household name thanks to the MCU propelling the character into the mainstream as played by Elizabeth Olsen. Now, to honor her version of the character from the smash hit film Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness comes her official skin from the film.
It captures the outfit with immense accuracy from the headgear, which is a tiara-esque crown to the dark crimson bodysuit. It’s a pretty damn cool outfit for fans of the MCU to own if they wanna rock it in quickplay or flex on the other team after winning a competitive match.

1. Magik – Default Skin
X-Men, particularly New Mutants fans will know Illyana Rasputin (yes, she’s the sister of Colossus) AKA Magik can be described in but one word; HARDCORE.
Her base skin in the game does that apt but true description justice! She’s adorned with spikes on the shoulder pads for that edgy look (90s comic fans remember when everything was EXTREME), a black top and shorts combo with torn fishnets and boots.
Besides, everyone knows goth chicks wielding huge swords and the ability to summon demons from the underworld are absolutely badass, and it seems like NetEase Games respected Illyana’s design from the comics enough to lean into that aspect when designing her for this game!
