On Friday, a representative for Swift released a sharply worded statement distancing the singer from the film’s development and any potential influence on its production. “Taylor Swift never set foot on the set of this movie,” the spokesperson said. “She was not involved in any casting or creative decisions, she did not score the film, she never saw an edit or made any notes on the film, she did not even see It Ends With Us until weeks after its public release.”
The only official connection Swift has to the project? Licensing her song My Tears Ricochet for the soundtrack — a gesture echoed by 19 other artists. “This document subpoena is designed to use Taylor Swift’s name to draw public interest by creating tabloid clickbait instead of focusing on the facts of the case,” her team emphasized.
As the case between Lively and Baldoni continues to escalate, Swift’s name may be making headlines — but her team is making it clear: she’s just a bystander in this Hollywood legal storm.
