Rumors are swirling across fandom corners once again (according to @MyTimeToShineH), and this time they involve Millie Bobby Brown and Marvel’s newly rebooted X-Men universe. With the MCU preparing to reintroduce its own team of mutants, the Stranger Things superstar has reportedly become a name of real interest behind the scenes. Brown’s career has been built on intensity and vulnerability, and she brings the kind of talent Marvel loves to anchor a franchise. The question now is not whether she could fit into the MCU, but which mutant she should embody when the X-Men make their long-awaited return.
Brown’s unique combination of youth, emotional power, and physical presence makes her a natural match for several iconic X-Women. Below are five X-Men characters who would make perfect sense for Millie Bobby Brown in Marvel’s upcoming reboot.

She can play gentle empathy with the same force she brings to explosive psychic outbursts, making her a natural fit for a character who carries the enormous emotional weight of the Phoenix saga. With her expressive eyes and commanding presence, Brown could deliver a Jean who is powerful, elegant, and relatable. Also, there are rumors that Sadie Sink could be Jean Grey… would it be crazy if Millie got it instead?
Kitty Pryde (RIGHT FIT)
Kitty Pryde is the heart of the team and one of Marvel’s most beloved mutants. Known for her intelligence and youthful courage, she would allow Brown to showcase her natural charm and wit. We think Kitty might be perfect for Millie. Her girl-next-door beauty, combined with her ability to deliver intense emotional moments, makes her a spot-on match. Millie could bring a fresh, grounded interpretation to Kitty’s leadership arc as she phases into the MCU.
Polaris (INTERESTING)
With her striking green hair, magnetic abilities, and often turbulent storylines, Polaris is a character who demands a certain level of dramatic firepower. Brown has that and more. Her strong features and confident screen presence align perfectly with Lorna Dane’s regal energy. This would give Marvel a chance to introduce one of the most visually stunning X-Women with an actress who has the star power to elevate her instantly. It would be interesting to see Elizabeth Olsen’s Wanda, Millie, and Polaris as sisters in the MCU.
Hope Summers (MAKES SENSE)
Hope Summers is the mutant messiah, born to change the fate of an entire species. Could be a little too on the nose to the messiah-like 11 character on Stranger Things. But she is fierce, resilient, and raised for war. Brown’s physicality, athletic build, and action-ready intensity make her an excellent match for a character who carries destiny on her shoulders. Hope is bold, determined, and emotional, all traits Brown has displayed effortlessly across her career.
Magik (CRAZY, BUT COULD WORK)
A fan favorite thanks to her dark edge, sorcery skills, and iconic soul sword, Magik is one of the most visually striking X-Men of all time. Millie Bobby Brown has the intensity to play Illyana Rasputin’s trauma, the beauty to match her ethereal aesthetic, and the strength to embody a warrior forged in a demonic realm. It would be one of the boldest MCU casting swings, but one with huge payoff. If Anya Taylor-Joy (the clear first choice) isn’t available, Millie Bobby Brown may be able to do a Russian accent just bad enough for this idea to be good. Think about it. Red Guardian and Magik meet; Millie Bobby Brown and David Harbour both doing bad Russian accents… it would be marvelous.
