The Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) just got a lot more “fantastic” with the latest addition to its star-studded cast. Julia Garner, fresh off her Emmy-winning streak on Netflix’s crime saga Ozark, has officially joined the ranks of The Fantastic Four. Set to play a pivotal role in the highly anticipated film, (according to Deadline) Garner steps into the shoes of Shalla-Bal, a character drawn from the rich tapestry of Marvel comics.

Shalla-Bal emerges as a distinct twist on the beloved Silver Surfer mythos in this cinematic iteration. With the MCU’s penchant for reimagining characters, speculation runs wild that Shalla-Bal’s portrayal might intertwine with the enigmatic Silver Surfer, fueling rumors of a possible female incarnation within the film.
