Production on Deadpool 3 is set to resume before the Thanksgiving holiday following a halt caused by the SAG-AFTRA strike, as confirmed by an insider with knowledge of the situation and internet scopers.
The franchise’s continuation will see the return of Marvel Studios to the helm, with Ryan Reynolds teaming up again with Shawn Levy — the director behind Reynolds’ previous films Free Guy and The Adam Project. Hugh Jackman is also set to return, marking his tenth portrayal of Wolverine. Also, Taylor Swift has been rumored to be involved as well. Reynolds first appeared as Wade Wilson, also known as Deadpool, in the 2009 film X-Men Origins: Wolverine, before revamping the character in the self-titled 2016 hit Deadpool.
Deadpool 3 Resumes Production

This eagerly awaited sequel was one of the most notable productions forced into hiatus by the industry-wide strike, casting uncertainty over its planned May 3, 2024 release date. Moreover, Deadpool 3 is the inaugural project to progress a series that originated under 20th Century Fox, before its acquisition by The Walt Disney Company/Marvel in 2019.
